Songs for Family & Friends
For more than 50 years I’ve written songs, letters and stories to and for and about family and friends. This room is a gathering place for many of those songs and stories and letters as well.

There are a few stories that go with this photo and song. The man in the middle is Dr. Les Salmon. He is the father of Chuck Salmon, a dear and lifelong friend of mine. Pat and I spent lots of evenings singing with the extended family.

The song "Let's Get Together" was bridge between my life in college and my life as a touring musician as a member of The Brothers Four. The Mourning Ryde sang it and then made a recording of it in December of 1967.
More than ever I believe these days that like it or not we are all in this together, more alike than different, and we can find each other in the songs we share and the songs we sing together.
