GRATITUDE
At the start of the New Year, let me begin by expressing my gratitude. One of the things I continue to be thankful for is a chance to share some of this amazing life’s journey with you.
Below is a song as a way of telling you so, Thankful.
The Pandemic continues to radically but not permanently alter daily life. The Brothers Four are still not performing. McCoy and I are still waiting to record.
In Washington State it appears those of us of a certain age (70 and older) will be eligible to receive the vaccine in a few weeks.
Below is a song I wrote with my friend, Gary Drager, when we were in our 20’s. It’s still fun but a little different to sing it in our 70’s. It’s called When I Grow Up I’ll Be An Old Man.
Much of my creative energy these days continues to go toward creating weekly Songs and Stories from Home Podcasts. Currently they involve sharing the Dear Partner Letters I am writing to McCoy celebrating 55 years of friendship and 25 years since he saw the Light of Love and found his way out of the darkness.
Feeling grateful for such a friendship and musical partnership and the chance to share it in songs and stories.

GRIT
On January 6, 2020 our country went from being on the brink to going over the brink. It will take all of us to be: “One more time courageous than the times we are afraid, less time we are doubtful than the times that we have faith, we must get to know our demons and together set them free, and so perhaps we may find our missing peace.”
It’s going to take a lot of work on everyone’s part. We are all a piece of the puzzle. Below is a recording of the song The Missing Peace.
GRACE
My hope is that it is a year where it becomes natural for you, for us, to offer and to receive grace. Among other things it’s going to take faith in ourselves and each other.
