Once songs are released - with all the meanings of that word - they begin to take on a life of their own. They begin to find homes in various places and moments in life. This song was part of the Gratitude, Grit, and Grace album and was introduced in a concert at Benaroya Hall in Seattle where I lit the last of 49 (virtual) campfires making up One of Those Times in a Life. It is featured on the website as a Song with a Story as part of One Love and Two Lives, the celebration of my parents' lives. My dad died twenty-three years before my mom. While I don't believe in heaven per se I can easily imagine them reunited and saying something like, "I turned around and There You Were."
