The two songs in this Podcast are “Love Abides” and “Once We Cross That Bridge.” Some of the most familiar words in the English language are from the New Testament. “And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.” While I believe the greatest may be love, I also believe that the most important may be faith (though not necessarily religious faith.) “Love Abides” is a song about a time that my faith was in doubt. “Once We Cross That Bridge” is specifically about walking across the Edmund Pettis Bridge in Selma, Alabama. For all of us there are those decisive and important moments (that often demand a leap of faith) where once we commit there is no turning back.
