In this section I talk about how in 2014 I became part of twice-yearly Civil Rights Pilgrimage involving adults as well as students from the University of Washington and Bellevue College. As I prepared for that first Pilgrimage it became suddenly clear who I had been and what I believed at 21 and 22 in 1968 and 1969. What I saw looking back years all those years later was that in the spring of 1968 my faith was strong – in God, country, family, self. Then by the summer of 1969 I was dealing with crises of faith.
I talk about my regaining of faith and a realization of how important I believe faith, though not necessarily religious faith, is in and for our lives. This video ends with the song “Love Abides.”
