Campfire Chronicle #5 "The Mourning Ryde" is now available on YouTube
This Chronicle talks about the singing group I was part of in college. Mike McCoy was part of that group. We were all from the same fraternity at the University of Washington one that members of The Brothers Four had been part of a few years earlier. Our biggest claim to fame was appearing on a nationally syndicated TV show called “Your All American College Show.” We even won a round. That show gave The Carpenters, then known as the Dick Carpenter Trio, their first national exposure. Surprisingly they finished second on that show to a singer and dancer named Linda McClure.
A few years ago thanks to the Internet I was able to get in touch with Linda who is living in LA and invite her to a Brothers Four show in Cerritos, California.
