Bridge Over Troubled Water

As a songwriter, Bridge Over Troubled Water has inspired me more than any other song. The Brothers Four were recording in San Francisco 50 years ago when I first heard it on the radio. I was driving. I had to pull over because of the tears. The song struck a chord then that it strikes to this day. When I heard Paul Simon was a friend and classmate of Andrew Goodman's it felt like the perfect song to include in the Freedom Summer chapter of Remembering the Dream.
