Fifty-five Years of Friends' Club and Friendship
It is hard to put into words how much the Friends’ Club and the people in it mean to The Brothers Four. Some students met the group on their first visit to Japan and told the guys they wanted to form a Friends’ Club.
“A Fan Club would be wonderful,” one of the Brothers responded.
There was a moment of silence.
“No, we want to be your friends.”
And friends they became and friends they have stayed for 55 years.
We see many of them at more than one concert during each tour. They often sit in the front row and present the group with flowers and other special gifts.
What difference does that make? What difference do they make?
ALL THE DIFFERENCE!
We have grown up with many of them and now we are growing old together. The Japan experience has been an amazing journey that The Brothers Four and I personally could not imagine making without them and their loyalty and support and love.
There have been many memories created. Some of the Friends joined us on a cruise to Alaska in 1997. Some made a special visit to our homes in the Seattle area in 2010. I am including one picture taken after a concert in 2014 and a couple of pictures taken during their visit to Port Ludlow.
Thank you, Friends’ Club! Thank you, friends, for a lifetime of priceless memories. We will see you next time!
The songs included here are "500 Miles" because of how far so many of our Friends come to show their support and "Don't Think Twice" that features Bob Flick, who was there when the Friends' Club was formed and these lifelong relationships began.
