A 1986 Concert

Here are some videos from a 1986 concert when it was two guys and one guitar. It had been years since I’d seen the video. I’d completely forgotten about the song “In Our Younger Days.” We might start singing it again. The chorus goes:

Where the highway was home enough
To have doubts faith enough
Tomorrow soon enough…for finding our way
Forever was long enough
The future in front of us
All love still ours to trust…in our younger days

“You Are the Difference” shows the incredible sense of harmony that McCoy has. When Bob introduces him at a Brothers Four concert he says McCoy is the best harmony singer in all of folk music. To that I say, YES.

“War Ravaged Mind” is a song or story where I attempt to enter someone else’s experience. It was inspired by stories of people that came back from war and were simply unable to find themselves or the self they were or they lost or left behind.
The song is meant as a tribute to persistence and to love. My apologies to those who hear “pretend and pretense” when they listen.
