Celebrating Fifty Years of Musical Friendship
On Sunday afternoon September 13th Mike McCoy and I will celebrate 50 years of friendship and partnership with a concert at Seattle’s Broadway Performance Hall. Longtime friend and musical collaborator Ted Brancato will join us as well as amazing guitarist John Morton and Paul Gabrielson the outstanding bass player who has toured for years with The Kingston Trio.
Tickets for the show are available at Brown Paper Tickets for $30 and $20 for students.

The concert will introduce a few tunes written specifically for the celebration. For the most part the music will trace a lifetime of songs sung and stories told that celebrates our 50 year journey.
Between now and the concert I will be sharing a lot of the songs and stories at MarkPearsonMusic.com. It feels appropriate to begin this musical odyssey with a couple of versions of a song called "All the Stages of My Life." McCoy has certainly been there through all the stages of mine.
The audio tracks included here are from an album McCoy and I recorded in 2009 called "Between Old Friends."

Ted co-wrote many of the songs on that album. He also did all the arranging as well as being the bandleader and piano player. That’s John Morton on guitar.
The Seahawks play in St. Louis that day starting at 10 AM. We went back and forth on when the show should start and decided that 3 PM should let everyone enjoy the game and still have time for dinner afterwards.
