Amelia Boynton, American Hero

Solo

If anyone is a bridge between Bloody Sunday in Selma on March 7, 1965 and the celebrating, commemorating, and consecrating of that event fifty years later it is Amelia Boynton. She is both a mighty historic figure and a modern American hero.
When I hear about the KKK passing out pamphlets during LAST WEEK'S march between Selma and Montgomery and am reminded of all the work still to do I look to Ms. Boynton for inspiration to press on and continue the journey.
