Thankful

This I think is the fifth year I have shared this video at Thanksgiving time. The introduction is still not correct on exactly which Thursday in November that Abraham Lincoln declared we should celebrate. It is also the first time I post this feeling so disturbed and with such a heavy heart. Earlier today my wife showed me an article in our local paper about someone who left an anonymous handscribbled note on a car windshield declaring the street where we live "whites only xxxx-hole." The hate monger was apparently enraged by magnets on the car that included a Hillary Clinton slogan and support for Obama in 2020.

There is, as always, a lot to choose to be thankful for these days. We must also choose whether, as individuals and as a nation, we will let our hearts be touched, as Lincoln said at Gettysburg, "by the better angels of our nature."
