Lost Boys

Mark & McCoy

Some people are fortunate and face little adversity. While McCoy and I have led privileged lives we have each faced some dark nights. Though we’ve been together through some of the hardest times there were times in the late 80’s when we were both lost and lost sight of each other.

That’s the time the song here, “Lost Boys,” from the “Between Old Friends” album is referring to.
Robert Schuller is quoted as saying that while “tough times don’t last, tough people do.” Thank goodness.

In the course of a lifetime we are lucky when we have people who cheer us up and cheer us on and are witnesses to both our tender and tough times. Except for those times I did not know how to reach out McCoy is one of those people in my life.
Included here are both a video and a couple audio recordings of the song “My Witness.” One of the versions is the studio version and the other I recorded at home when I was writing the song. I thought you might enjoy hearing the difference.

If you want to witness McCoy and me celebrating 50 years of friendship tickets are available at Brown Paper Tickets
