Friendly Neighbors
As I explained in the most recent Campfire Chronicle I met some wonderful people in LA. I have always enjoyed the company of older folks. (Now being an older folk myself.) When I was in LA it was always fun to share a cup of tea along with a piece of her chocolate cake with my downstairs neighbor, Mrs. McLerie. The note that she gave me along with her Bible says, “Thought you might enjoy a memento from your Fairy Godmother.” She was right. I have kept it in my office to this day.
The Byers Boys remain special friends. The were my next door neighbors. I had a chance to meet their parents while I was in LA. Their mother still lives in the house where she raised her boys. She is very funny. We always congregate in the kitchen when I'm there. I also met and get together with the fourth brother, Pat, when I am in the Cleveland area. The Boys and I have been friends now for more than thirty-five years.
Where DOES the time go?
