When I was in high school and college I spent a lot of time on buses. Back and forth between Spokane and Seattle. Long bus rides to Canada to go to camp. Football road trips. Ski buses. There is/was something about those experiences that is like no other. I feel this song somehow draws on the essence of those experiences.
I wrote this song in the mid-70's. I feel in some important ways this song was a step forward for me as a songwriter. It was an important addition to McCoy's and my album, Between Friends.
