My friend of nearly 55 years, Mike McCoy, and I recorded the song Thankful ten years ago for an album called Between Old Friends. The last few years I have shared the video and audio recordings of that song around Thanksgiving. Because of recent serious health issues for both McCoy and me the thankfulness resonates a little differently this year. While I didn’t feel that I needed the extra reminders of how much there is to be thankful for they came none the less. So when McCoy and I meet the Monday after Thanksgiving for the 25th year in a row to look back on the year that was and look forward to the one that awaits there will be even more meaning to our time together. With that in mind I hope the holiday finds you with those you love and who love you. And with the knowledge that one of the things I am thankful for is to be able to continue to share this amazing journey with you.
