McCoy and I got together right after his dad died. His dad had spent a lot of time near Mt. Rainier. McCoy told me he was hoping to get his pilot's license and to pour his dad's ashes out as he was flying over that incredible mountain. It didn't happen. In fact he and I used to laugh about how his mom kept his dad's ashes in the trunk of her car for years. I was infatuated by his dream, his plan, and not long after our conversation this song just sort of "came to me."
