Beginnings and Endings
I love Ram Dass’s idea that what we are doing here is walking each other home. With that in mind, at this final stage of my career, I am looking through a lifetime of music and musings with the belief that we are all in this together, more or less the same, can find each other in our stories and our songs. That life is surely better when we laugh and cry together, if we know somehow that we belong. And while love may not be all we need, without love we are lost indeed, whether we’re together or alone, on this road that’s taking us all home.
As a folksinger I have spent a lifetime singing songs that awaken memories and give voice to our dreams. My hope is in the months leading up to the last solo concert, and the year that follows it, together those of us who share similar beliefs can rediscover or help create a world worthy of our dreams. Of our children’s and our grandchildren’s dreams. One where empathy is a sign of strength. Where truth matters, where character matters, where kindness matters.
An Invitation:
You are invited to become part of the journey to my last solo concert and the year that follows trying to make sense of it all. A virtual adventure of memory and discovery fueled by songs and stories created and sung over the course of a lifetime.
Three pathways leading to the last solo concert and beyond. Take one pathway or take them all. Come and go as the spirit moves you.
