One of the main reasons I set out to tell the story of my life and career when I did was I was personally and professionally at a place that I could. I soon realized what I thought would be a journey of memory became also one of discovery. What I thought would take maybe a dozen months ended up taking seven years. Part of that process meant getting in touch with as many people as I could who had played a role in my life and to thank them and where appropriate to apologize to them and at times to ask for their forgiveness. I didn’t really think it all out ahead of time. It just seemed to make sense and the more involved I got the more sense it made. When I was a couple of years into what I called One of Those Times in a Life someone asked me what I was doing. I told them I was in the midst of a “Thank you and an I’m Sorry Tour.” After a few moments I said, “What it really is is a Journey of Gratitude and Grace.” Not long after that I realized that to complete the journey, as well as do it right, it was going to take grit. It did, it was, and one result is this song.
Join me on a journey of discovery through songs & stories around the virtual campfire.
