On the Road That's Taking Us All Home
Over the years I have formed a number of smaller SONGS CIRCLES with friends and family. A way for me – for us in those CIRCLES - to feel connected and in some way part of each other’s lives.These days that need to come together and part of something bigger than ourselves seems as universal as it does personal.
The Journey Home Song Circle was inspired by the notion that we can find each other in our stories and our songs, by Ram Dass’s idea that we’re walking each other home, and Johann Goethe’s belief that to retain the sense of the beautiful implanted in our souls we should regularly hear music, read or listen to poetry and look at fine pictures. The songs here ones I’ve written, the pictures ones my wife Pat’s taken and the poems unless otherwise noted written by our friend, James Nystrom.
